Şifa Alkapon is a cypriot painter and graphic designer. Lately she started doing tattoo as well. She was born in 1980 in Cyprus where she still lives and work. She completed a Fine Arts Secondary school of Visual Arts (Cyprus) in 1994 and went on to Ankara Anatolia Fine Arts high school of Visual Arts in 1998 (Turkey). She went to Cyprus International University Faculty of Fine Art -Graphic Design in 2003 in Cyprus (Honours). Then she completed her master's education in Near East University Faculty of Education-Art teacher in 2005(Cyprus). She lived in Mexico City for a few years. Her paintings titled as a cypriot artist Cyprus culture ministry archives. Her work is surrealist and gothic. She specialized about potrait, watercolor, coffee and markers. You can see supernatural and fantastic characters in her works. The artist is reflect nightmares, dreams, death, social problems, nature, and supernatural things in her paintings. Alkapon has drawn wall paintings in many places and she is the first artist in cyprus who painted 3D art on street. Several newspapers and online magazines interviewed with her about her art. Also some of her paintings are used on several book covers and cd covers. She was committee member of EMMA European Mediterranean Art Association— 2006 -2007 / NORTH CYPRUS. She Joined group exhibitions for the past 20 years both nationally and internationally.
